- body/cover seal inspection is an essential part of regular monthly valve maintenance inspection.

- if the bolted body/cover seal leaks, the bonnet bolt nuts should be retightened and the force applied to each bolt should be as uniform as possible.If the valve continues to leak after bolt fastening, consideration should be given to replacing the gasket seal or inspecting the gasket seal surface for defects.

- for high pressure, high temperature and drastic temperature/pressure variations, it is recommended that the valve re-tighten the bonnet bolts and nuts after working for 24 hours to compensate for any possible loosening.
