SAW weld steel pipe


Spiral SAW weld steel pipe ( Referred to as: SSAW weld steel pipe ,ssaw pipes, spiral SAW pipe or HSAW weld pipe etc. ) stands for Spirally Submerged Arc Welding pipe.

The spiral seam steel pipe is made of strip coil as raw material, extruded at room temperature and welded by automatic double wire submerged arc welding process.

The strip is fed into the welded pipe production unit and rolled up gradually by multi-rollers to form a circular billet with opening clearance. The reduction of the extrusion roll is adjusted so that the weld clearance is controlled at 1-3 mm and the ends of the weld are in the same level.

Major applications: Spiral welded steel pipes are widely used in Oil, Natural Gas, Water and other flammable & nonflammable liquid conveyance and distribution pipelines, steel structures for construction, piling project and other general purposes by means of their wide size range.
